The PxP Festival is Europe’s largest charity festival for children and our beacon for equal opportunities in the cultural sector. Over the years, we have developed the concert into a festival for education – which is completely unique in this form! We bring together educational initiatives, politics, business and music, invite teachers, decision-makers and children and show how sustainable education can be implemented.

The festival encourages people, regardless of origin, culture, faith or social status, to help build a better future.

As in the beginning, it is also about speaking up and giving a voice to those who are often not heard – the children.

The PxP Festival took place for the first time on June 5, 2016 at the Waldbühne in Berlin. Under the motto “Your Voice for children”, globally acclaimed artists performed pro bono in front of a sold-out audience of 20,000 people. We were able to raise funds for children who have been driven from their homes by conflict.

School celebrates the future!

2019

The 3rd edition of the PxP Festival in 2019 took place at Berlin’s Parkbühne Wuhlheide on June 1st, International Children’s Day. The 40 musicians and artists united under the banner of “Your Voice for Children” to perform for an in-person audience of 12,000 and over one million more tuning in at home. Again, the festival was a community celebration of peace, and the net proceeds and donations helped fund PxP Embassy’s educational programs for children throughout the year.

2018

n 2018 instead of organizing the PxP Festival, the Berlin Senate invited PxP’s founders along with Björn Döring to produce and curate #1HEIT – The Concert, the closing event for the annual Day of German Unity Festival at Brandenburg Gate. This finale concert honored everyday heroes of social justice and highlighted the unifying power of music, all under the banner of #NurMitEuch (Only With You).

Over 200 partners and organizations from the cultural, political, sports, and business industries worked together to make the celebration happen. The concert featured Beyond Borders ALLSTARS featuring artists including Samy Deluxe, Nena, Philipp Poisel, Patrice, Namika, Teddy Teclebrhan, Meute, Daniel Müller Schott, the Syrian Expat Philharmonic Orchestra, and more. PxP had the chance to spread its message of peace and togetherness throughout the day with an in-person audience of 500,000—plus millions more tuning in to the live tv broadcast.

In addition to curating the concert, in cooperation with Valerio Girardi, PxP’s founders were able to win over the internationally renowned street artist JR to stage an installation at Brandenburg Gate, specifically created for the festival. JR created a photo collage over 25 meters high and 2.5 kilometers long, which fed into a 2.5 kilometer-long mural made of historical images from November 10, 1989 and the names of each of Germany’s 11,040 municipalities.
